Back a number of years ago, I played with a great group of local musicians (Tina Lech, Dave Cory, Dan Isaacson, and Ted Davis) in a band we called "The 9-Pint Coggie" (after a tune we heard Robbie Hannan play on the Boston College Gaelic Roots compilation CD).
This was a great time in my life, full of music and excitement. It seemed like we were playing music 5 nights a week, either paid, or for free; from deathly-quiet afternoons to impractically cacophonous friday nights around town (though most frequently at The Burren in Davis Square), and often we would retire to somebody's house to continue playing (bless those patient neighbors).
But all good things change eventually, and while some turned to a real CD as the next step, others turned to our day-jobs and other responsibilities. Before we went separate ways, though, we did manage to put together a demo CD. We were all very relaxed about the recording process, and the demo CD was produced with a relative minimum of fuss. While it didn't come out as cleanly as a "real" recording might have, was generally satisfying to all of us at one point or another. :)
Here are some sample tracks (in their entirety) from that demo recording, placed here mainly because I can't think of much else to do with them (and partly because I enjoy the trip down memory lane). Some tracks are rougher than others, but they all should provide a reasonable idea of what we sounded like back then.
We hope you enjoy them!
